How to Play Tongits Go
Once you understand the basic rules, you can start playing quickly. A step-by-step breakdown is provided below.
Card Deal
Each player is dealt 13 cards. The dealer places one card face-up on the table and the remaining deck is kept as the draw pile.
Draw and Discard
On each turn you draw one card from the draw pile or the discard pile, then discard one unwanted card.
Form Melds
Form melds using three or more cards of the same rank (a set) or consecutive cards of the same suit (a sequence), and place them on the table.
Declare Tongits
When you have no cards left in your hand, declare "Tongits". Otherwise, the player with the lowest points wins.

Strategies and Tips for Winning at Tongits Go
Tongits Go is not just a game of luck — applying the right strategy can significantly increase your chances of winning. Below are some key tips used by experienced players at pgnk.
Discard High-Point Cards First
If you have cards in your hand that cannot be used to form a meld, discard them quickly. High-value cards that cannot be grouped are especially risky to hold on to.
Watch Your Opponent's Cards
Pay close attention to which cards your opponent is discarding in the discard pile. This will help you understand what kind of melds they are trying to form, and you can adjust your own strategy accordingly.
Declare "Draw" at the Right Time
When you feel you have the lowest points in hand, declare "Draw". However, declaring draw at the wrong time may result in a penalty, so make the decision carefully.
Use the Slip Card Strategy
You can add your extra cards to a meld already placed on the table by an opponent (known as slipping). This is a great way to reduce the points in your hand.
Start with Small Bets
The advice for new players is to start with small bets. Learn the rules and strategies well, then gradually increase your bets.
Expert Tip
The most important thing in Tongits Go is patience. Do not rush your decisions. Calmly analyse your hand on each turn and make the best choice. Practice at pgnk and gradually sharpen your skills.
